We eat lunch here often. Great place with great service. Reasonably priced for lunch and the serve it fast. The salsa is one of my favorites. Always fresh and tasty, just the right amount of spicy. I put it on my tacos and beans..

Food is great, service too. V we ry family oriented. Always lots of children in the restaurant. We do take out often & never been disappointed.

The mojitos were grand. Well actually in a smallish glass but only 4.99 for a limited time. They came in 4 flavors and tasted great! The taco salad was average. Same as you get at good restaurants. The chimichanga with Al Pastor meat was good! The pastor wasn't as bright a flavor with the red sauce taking the lead. It was smothered with cheese which made it less crispy. But there was still a crunch. I asked for their extra hot sauce They gave me the green which was green tomato with no heat. They red sauce packs a wallop! I dipped, but beware, if your about to pour it on your food.

A neighborhood favorite! The happy hour is always on point, can't beat a $5 gold margarita. The staff is friendly and quick. Always smiling! Love the seating. Even if the place is crowded you still feel secluded in your booth. Could easily go one a week!

The tacos quesabirria are stupidly good and their molé is good as well. The place is clean and the service is good.

We have been coming to Tecate off and on over the years. We have always enjoyed their food and atmosphere. But don't often find ourselves on this side of town craving Mexican. But we always know it will be solid when we go. Let's start with the atmosphere. One of the larger, open seating areas I know of in the city. The buzz of people enjoying their food and beverages can be felt. I love the papel picados hanging all over the restaurant. And I have no idea how they keep their real plants alive all throughout a restaurant with no windows. The service is usually pretty good. Our last experience was not as good as previous times. But nothing too bad. The food is pretty standard Americanized Mexican food. The chips are fine, the margaritas are fine and the food is pretty tasty. Overall, nothing really stands out to me about this place. But the consistency, atmosphere and good service land them on a solid 4 stars.

This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. The service, food, and margaritas were very good. I ordered shrimp tacos. OMG they were so good! Each taco had a slice of avocado. I love avocados on tacos. The meal also included rice and beans. No complaints other than I wish the dinner came with 3 tacos instead of 2.

Well me and my girlfriends are always down for cheese dip and some margs and really you can't go wrong with that. I was pretty reluctant to go here since I have a favorite place right down the road but when a new friend joins the dinner club you try to meet them halfway... anyways. It's my second time here and I figured it out!! They have a happy hour that starts at 2pm and I cannot make this more clear: there are $5 margs with fresh squeezed lime juice!!!! Run do not walk. I have only tried one entree so far but it's a keeper. The pollo loco is a plate of rice layered with grilled or shredded chicken and white cheese dip on top. I'm drooling just thinking about it! I will say was disappointed by the plate size for the price the second time going... I am hoping the will go up the plate size I was served on the first time so maybe they will see this and help a friend out! Regardless, I will be back for those fresh lime margs.

I just wanted to say how thankful I am for Tecate. It has been our family's favorite Mexican restaurant. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and graduations here. We picked up curbside the other day and everything was quick, correct and made to order. Thank you for always being there!!!

So I wanted to go somewhere close to my house so we tried this place. Well I thought it was familiar and found out it's the sister restaurant to my favorite one Los Amigos. Well I met the owner and he told me that they opened it outside of his parents. Well I'm so happy because I have somewhere close to eat when I to have some Mexican food I told him that you can tell his mom I'll be going there since it's down the street from my house lol. Good food
